Ahh weekends!!

How I love the weekends.... and the last two have been pretty awesome to say the least. Last Sunday I scored perfect surf down Peaks on the gower working on turns and technique with Lloyd Cole  (SHOTS BELOW)

And now this weekend on Saturday made the trip to Caravan Point in North West Wales in search of perfect left handers and this is what we found in all its glory under lush Autumn sunshine.

Well back to school now for the rest of the week got to be done!

Before I leave you, here's a shot of Master Hocking with Toby the goldfish that I won in the faire on the way home from Caravan.
This photo makes me laugh!
And he rips on a log!!

Tsunami Cup

Did the Tsunami Cup on the weekend in which I got 4th place in a final which I personally think was judged wrong... 2.5 for a two turn wave where as a small cut back gets a 5.5?  Don't agree with the results completely other than that Rhys Poulton was for sure 1st after ripping in the final.  But oh well life goes on hey!

Other than that I had a great time and learnt a lot. Big thanks to Welsh Coast Surf Club for a great day and Christian Surfers for providing everyone with tea and coffee all day with a smile!

Here's some shots by Claire Beach a great photographer from Porthcawl who really does love surfing!

R.I.P AI

A year ago today surfing lost one of the greatest athletes of all time Andy Irons, I wasn't in to surfing during his prime but when I did start I remember wanting the Andy Irons Billabong boardies with his Japanese rising sun pattern on after seeing him in them out solid Teahupoo. From then on I made sure I watched what ever heat he was in on the ASP world tour wether it be live or on catch-up.
He was a perfect example of what hard work and determination can achieve  and I'm sure he was a great inspiration to many people other than myself, his love for surfing really did show though out his life.
